Here are some highlights from our 2022 College Coaches Camp. With Texas A&M, Marquette, Wake Forest, Florida State and Tulane as the feature schools, our camp athletes were introduced to some of the best coaching talent in the country! Each school had a morning with those athletes going into 8th grade or younger and then an afternoon with our high school aged athletes.
We’ve already got schools that want to return next year as well as other great programs that just weren’t able to make it work this year. Keep an eye out for future clinics and min-camps with various schools in the future, as this is now a “regular” thing for our club with the new facility!
Stressed about not being able to make tryouts? On vacation? Different club tryouts at the same time? We’ve got a solution for you!
We are offering Pre-Tryout Evaluation Clinics. You can register for any or all of them! Just let us know that you won’t be able to make tryouts and we can get an early evaluation on you before we make teams.
Also, if you are new to the club and want to get in front of our coaches before actual tryouts, these Pre-Tryout Evaluation Clinics are a great way to do that!
Here are the dates:
Tues, June 14th
Wed, June 15th
Sun, June 19th
CAMP: July 6-7

FIVE seasons are almost in the books!! Looking toward Year 6, we will see the club grow once again. We will be offering two teams at the 11’s age group through the 17’s age group- in addition to one 18’s and one 10’s. Every year, we are seeing greater success on the court with our teams’ success, but even more importantly, we’re seeing our athletes establish important roles on their school teams as well as in the attention the older athletes are getting in college recruiting.
Year 6 will see a fully constructed facility with air conditioning and indoor restrooms. The structural portion of Phase II along with the framework has been up and ready for full permitting by the city, which we finally received this past week!
With four courts and a 2,500 sq ft Performance & Strength area, we are doing our best to create the level of training and resources that we were able to offer our college athletes for over 20 years. Jacksonville Skyline is the ONLY club in Jacksonville with 100% CONTROL over their own facility. No distractions. No unwanted noise. Just a great place to train volleyball! Come be a part of something special and growing!
As our club continues to grow, we are always looking to add coaches for the 2022-23 travel season. Affiliated with Dallas Skyline and the Skyline clubs in Texas, Jacksonville Skyline joins the Skyline family of clubs that are instantly recognizable and well-respected on a national level by other clubs and college programs alike. Our approach to training is fundamentally based upon principles developed in 20+ years of college coaching as well as USA Volleyball High Performance.

JACKSONVILLE, FL, 1/19/21— Jacksonville Skyline has finalized a lease for a full-time volleyball and training facility to open in the summer of 2021. “This is a game changer for our club,” said Co-Owner Hugh Hernesman. “Since we started Jacksonville Skyline in July of 2017 our goal has been to provide the very best for our athletes and their families. This gives us a full-time home that we can call our own.”
The 20,280 square foot facility will have space for 4 training courts and a 2,500 square foot performance and strength room. Additionally, there will be over 3,500 square feet of office space for coaches offices, a conference room, a Pro Shop, concessions and restrooms. It is located at 7022 AC Skinner Parkway- right in the middle of Jacksonville and conveniently accessible from the Jacksonville, Yulee/Fernandina, Orange Park and St. John’s County areas.
“Our club has grown tremendously in the past 3½ years. We started with 3 travel teams and are currently at 12 teams for the 2020-21 travel season,” said Hernesman. “It has been exciting to watch our athletes develop over the past three seasons and we have welcomed in over 70 families to our Skyline Family this club season alone. With this influx of families, we have also seen a large addition of some of the most talented and potential-rich athletes in Jacksonville. We look forward to serving our members in an even more efficient way and with additional training options.”
A general contractor will be selected in the coming days to work on the project. A capital campaign has been established to assist with the one-time construction and equipment expenses. You can learn more about how to donate to this project and Jacksonville Skyline- a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization- by emailing info@JaxSkyline.com.
HUGE NEWS! Coach Price from Florida State will be coming to Skyline for more training for our Jacksonville volleyball community!! There is no other club that can offer this type of access to high level coaches.
