NEW FOR 2020-21: USA Volleyball and AAU Volleyball age definitions have changed from September 1 to July 1. While we prefer and believe it to be best for athletes to play within the age that places them in their corresponding grade, there are some exceptions- especially at the younger levels. NEW FAMILY CLUB INFO MEETING: Due to COVID-19 and to simply make things easier, we are hosting our 1st “Virtual” Club Informational Meeting through Zoom. We will discuss our club philosophy, training background and how Skyline takes our athletes to the next level!

More great news!! Coach Price at FSU enjoyed working with our camp last week that she asked to come back…and she’s going to bring Coach Hulsmeyer with her! This is another great opportunity for our area athletes to get additional training heading into club tryouts and their middle school seasons. This will be a one day camp on Friday, July 24th from 10-3.

NOTE: Just like our last camp, due to NCAA Dead Period restrictions, this is only open to athletes entering the 8th grade or younger. Click HERE to register!

Our 2020 College Coaches Camp was a HUGE success. Featuring Lead Instruction from Ryan Theis (Marquette), Dennis Hohenshelt (Penn State) and Matt Ginipro (App State)- in addition to Maggie Couture and Jordan Armstrong (Jacksonville University) and Jordana Price (Florida State) as court coaches along with our Skyline coaches- the camp was an incredible 3-day event.

This year, NCAA Dead Period rules prohibited DI coaches to work with any prospect that will be entering high school and some conferences went even further in restricting their coaches from doing any camps this summer whatsoever. Be on the lookout for more college coach camps and clinics for ALL AGES in the future, as we are very excited to use our college background to bring high level coaches and training to the Jacksonville volleyball community.

We’ve been patiently waiting to expand our club offerings to beach volleyball and the time has come! Jacksonville Skyline is extremely excited to announce a partnership with Jax Beach Volleyball to offer our athletes the very best beach volleyball training in the region.

Back by popular demand, our Skill Clinic series are back after a wildly successful turnout this past summer. Our Friday night Skill Clinics focus on four fundamental areas:

– Serving
– Attacking
– Passing/Defense
– Setting

Each clinic is 1-hr long and features training from Hugh and Steph Hernesman. Hugh and Steph are currently at Nease high school after a 20+ year career as college coaches. After finishing their college careers at Clemson University to focus on their own children, Hugh and Steph partnered with one of the top clubs in the country- Dallas Skyline to bring high-level training to Jacksonville!

Sign up for one clinic or make it a regular Friday night event. Each clinic will focus on fundamental skills, cues and progressions that will help to improve the skill level of all players. These are the same training techniques the Hernesman’s used with their collegiate athletes as well as their High Performance athletes while working with USA Volleyball.

This summer, we’ve added a Club Prep Summer 10-week session. Our goal is to continue to train younger athletes and help prepare them for middle school volleyball as well as introduce them to the benefits of training outside of school ball in a club setting.

Our Club Prep program this spring saw an incredible amount of growth in our athletes and was a huge success. We want to continue to give our younger athletes access to training and continue to grow our sport!

• 60-minute training session once a week
